The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia again organized an international event, AICIS 2024 on February 1-4, 2024 which brought together hundreds of international Muslim intellectuals to formulate solutions to various global humanitarian problems.
One thing that became the outline to be done after AICIS 2024 is concrete action and not only dwell on thoughts and theories, as conveyed by one of the religious figures present, Elga J. Sarapung from Indonesia.
She revealed that until now there are still cases of groups who take the way to obtain peace by means of violence.
“Life should revive each other, not kill each other, either because of the majority or minority factor,” said Elga in Auditorium II Campus 3 UIN Walisongo Semarang, Friday (2/2/2024).
“Again, what we are talking about is peace, justice. Do we religious leaders, religious people implement what we call Human Rights, Peace, Justice based on our commitment, based on religious values or truth or not,” she said.
He hopes that the 2024 AICIS conference will be oriented towards concrete action in overcoming human rights, peace and justice crises.
“The orientation is to action, not just talk. All religious people, religious leaders are not only limited to theories, concepts but actually do something concrete, practice,” he said.
Discussions about efforts to overcome the humanitarian crisis at the AICIS 2024 forum are important to be conveyed to the next generation clearly. As stated by a religious figure from Thailand, Phra Dr. Anilman Dhammasakiyo.
He emphasized that the efforts to overcome the human rights crisis and the humanitarian crisis conveyed at the AICIS 2024 forum should be conveyed to the younger generation.
“How can the ideas and brilliant messages in this forum be conveyed to the young generation today,” he said.
Anilman Dhammasakiyo assessed that it is the young generation today who will hold the future and the actors who will give birth to culture.
In addition, there is another perspective related to how to create a sense of humanity and justice is applied. The perspective was delivered by a Buddhist figure from Cambodia, Venerable Dr. Yon Seng Yeath.
“Absolute peace can start from small things, namely within the family. From a Buddhist perspective, everything starts small. If we cannot start with small things, then we will not be able to give birth to big things,” he said.
After the family, problems within the community must be resolved. There is no conflict in the community based on differences.
“The outline is to accept differences and not look for similarities that lead to divisions. Differences between countries, cultural differences, religious differences, it doesn’t matter,” he said.
The religious leaders summit will be a place to share perspectives and insights based on their experiences in responding to issues of humanity and peace.

In addition to the speakers above, there are several other religious leaders with a total of 12 figures who are speakers in a collaborative effort to find solutions to resolve humanitarian crises for world peace and a better life for all humans. Hundreds of international Muslim intellectuals and academics attended the forum.
